In his first match as world number one at the ATP World Tour Finals in London, Murray began life with a victory against Croatia’s Marin Cilic. He won  6-3 6-2  at the O2 Arena to make that his 20th win in a row.

Murray has never won this title. Could this be his year?

Next up for Murray in the John McEnroe group is a match against Japan’s Kei Nishikori who beat world number three Stan Wawrinka 6-2 6-3 in the other John McEnroe group match on Monday.
